JOB Support

Job Support is a payment which makes it easier for disabled people or people with ill health to get work or stay in work. Supported employment is considered to be one form of employment in which wages are expected, together with benefits from an employer in a competitive workplace, though some versions refer to disability agency paid employment.

Job support delivers its mission through two programs:
Job support’s Open Employment service places people with an intellectual disability into paid jobs in the regular workforce.
Job support’s Transition service, which was previously called Community Work Options. Job support Transition gives school leavers with an intellectual disability extra help before they attempt paid employment,

In Melbourne, Job support Transition is a Transition to Employment (TTE) service funded by the Department of Human Services. The Job support Transition page describes the program and its achievements.
